Puma Knives - Company History and Products
During 1769 when Johann Wilhelm Lauterjung who started the trademark in the knife makers role of Solingen which the PUMA started. In 1876 his son, Ernest Otto Lauterjung manufactured the first pocket knives, stilettos, sabers and hunting knives in a small factory. On May 26, 1900 when the name was written down on the Solingen register companies as "PUMA-Werk, Lauterjung und Sohn". PUMA was known internationally before the Worl War II, The production was put under the authority of the war during the World War II. It was 1946 when the production of pocket knives and household knives return to the civilian. In 1956, Puma develops the model White Hunter for the East African hunting organization. In 2003, the PUMA offers its customers a series of very qualitative knives in traditional design under the label "PUMA IP" (PUMA International Production). And now, the PUMA TEC expands the company's product range of knives with economically attractive fixed blades and folding knives in a modern look.
