Spyderco, is an excellent knife manufacturer, the spyderco native is an excellent knife, is really solid, and worth the money. It is a great folder.

simply the best for the $$. This is the third one (spyderco c41-pbk)I've had in 5 years. Hope to hold on to this one longer than the others. It holds a good edge longer than I can keep the knife!

I would have to agree with the other reviews here. It's true the handle and pivot aren't quite up to "heavy duty" use, but this is still a great knife. I've owned a few folding knives, but none of them held an edge like Spyderco! I'm not a "knife guy", so I don't know what metals hold an edge better than others. All I know is Spyderco is vastly superior in its price range! The Native has served me very well over the years and is still as sharp as ever! For a little over fifty bucks, you won't be disappointed.

By no means am I a knife collector or an expert on quality steels or knife blades. But I can tell you of all the knives I've ever purchased in my life, the Spyderco Native sports the sharpest blade out of the box. I wanted a quality 'pocket' knife to carry daily and this fits the bill! It fits perfectly into the little 'pocket watch' pocket in jeans and the clip holds it securely in place all day long. Been using the Native for about five months now and it hasn't seen a sharpener yet. I can't imagine finding a better value knife in the $50-range.

the spyderco native (not the native III) is my favorite sub-$50 knife. it fits perfectly in the hand and allows you to choke up on the blade for better precision. the ergonomics combined with superior cpm-s30v steel create an awesome little knife. ive looked and i cannot find a knife with this awesome steel in this price range, other knives with cpm-s30v start about $30 more than the native. the cpm-s30v steel holds a sharper edge, and for a longer time than some of my knives that cost twice as much. it comes razor sharp out of the box, my only crticism of the knife is that it is riveted together instead of made with screws which makes cleaning difficult and adjusting impossible (but it came from the factory perfectly adjusted, so no biggie). all in all steel quality 10/10 weight 10/10 construction 7/10 price 10/10 handle 8/10 lockup 10/10 ergonomics 10/10 buy as many as you can now, no other knife for less than $75 compares.
